The concert “Mediterranean Dreams” performed by the National Academic Symphonic Band of Ukraine will open to listeners the world of sunny landscapes and temperamental rhythms of the Mediterranean.

The program will combine European music for wind orchestra with virtuoso solo parts, demonstrating the richness of the sound of the clarinet family.

A special feature of the concert is the participation of the orchestra’s soloists – Gennadii Kovtun, Maksym Konyuszko, Zakhar Gakh and Pavlo Boyko, who represent various instruments of the clarinet group – from the small clarinet to the bass clarinet. Each piece will reveal new possibilities of these instruments: singing lyrics, virtuoso technique, vivid expression and a wealth of timbre shades.

The music of the concert is inspired by the culture of Spain and the Mediterranean region, where folk melodies, dance rhythms, and modern composer’s language intertwine in a single artistic space.

At the same time, Ivan Karabyts’s work will add Ukrainian flavor to the program and create an interesting combination of different musical traditions.

“Mediterranean Dreams” is a concert of virtuosity, emotions, and sunny mood that will transport listeners to the shores of the warm sea through the language of music.

We are waiting for you on October 20, 2026.
